Magic Hair Growth Oil by Brototi: Success Story

Hair Growth Oil

I am writing this blog so it can help you get gorgeous hair you always wanted. And it gives me immense joy when someone writes to me with their success stories… here’s one such

One of hair buddha’s engaging reader, Brototi, has shared her magic oil recipe with us— that’s what she likes to call it. After using this oil, her hair fall has reduced considerably and new hair is growing back. (She started loosing her hair after permanent hair straightening treatment.)

This is what Brototi has to say about the Magic Oil:‘I am eager to tell you about an oil that has brought all my hair issues to an end. My hair fall has reduced to almost 5-7 a day which is unbelievable.  I see small hair growing all over my scalp’. This oil has also reduced my greying (though I admit that I never had too many grey hairs). In the end, she adds, ‘My experiments with hair oil and shampoo began with hair buddha.’

This is amazing! With trial and error, you can find out what works for your hair and what doesn’t. It may take some failed attempts, but once you find out what actually works for your hair life becomes very easy. And your hair will look stunning with minimum effort.

Magic Oil for Hair Growth

I will give you her recipe first, and then talk about the benefits of each ingredient later in the post. It’s actually very simple to make…

to make this oil you will need:

Method:

Place all the ingredients in a glass bottle. Give it a good shake and it’s ready to use.

There is no heating or boiling involved.  And the herbs remain immersed in the oil.

How to use:

Start with damp or dry hair, apply the oil on your scalp and hair. Massage gently for a few minutes and leave it on overnight (or at least an hour).

Next, wash it out using a natural shampoo such as this or this.

Enjoy your thick, beautiful hair.

Benefits of the ingredients used

Looking at the ingredients, this oil is a mix of east and west. It contains olive oil and rosemary which are from Europe and the rest of the ingredients are native to India.

I have already written in detail about the oils and herbs used in this recipe. Here is a brief snapshot of what each ingredient has to offer…

Castor oil: detoxifies scalp; stimulates hair growth and adds volume and shine to hair

Olive oil: moisturises hair; treats dandruff; rich in vitamin E, it rejuvenates hair follicles

Rosemary: conditions and strengthens the hair; treats scalp issues; darkens hair over time

Curry leaves: rich in antioxidants and vitamins; eliminates free radicals; slows hair loss and darkens hair over time

Neem leaves: contains antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic properties; healing to the scalp

Fenugreek seeds: helps retain moisture; prevents flakiness; helps with hair loss

Red hibiscus flowers: protects and nourishes hair; regenerates hair structure

Create your own oil: Tips and Suggestions

You can create your own version of herbal oil by adding herbs that are local to you, or herbs that have worked for your hair. It can take a few attempts to get the perfect hair oil for your hair. Here are some tips and suggestions…

Add coconut oil: It’s fantastic oil for hair. Coconut oil is chock-full of antioxidants, and also contains lauric acid, which offers antibacterial qualities. Regular use of coconut oil promotes hair growth and prevents protein loss from hair strands.

You can try other oils like: almond, sesame, avocado, and sunflower

Use less Castor oil: Castor oil is sticky and can be difficult to spread, so use less if you like.

Red hibiscus flower: I would prefer to use dried hibiscus flowers as any fresh herb may spoil the oil.

Adding other herbs: I do believe that less is more, so don’t use all the herbs you have. Try few at a time and see what gives the best effect. Also, make less quantity so you don’t waste if you don’t like it. Beneficial herbs for hair are lavender, chamomile, amla, gotu kola (brahmi) and thyme.

Infuse the oil for 3 weeks: You can let the herbs and oil marinate together for 3 to 6 weeks. This will infuse phytonutrients and other vitamins from the herbs into the oil. And then you can strain the oil and use.

Heat Infuse: You can also use heat to infuse the oil. Use a double boiler method and heat for 1 to 2 hours, then strain and use.

Happy Creating!
