Lime Juice Clarifying Hair Rinse - hair buddha

Lime Juice Clarifying Hair Rinse

Lime juice makes an excellent clarifying hair rinse. It helps rid your hair of any build up and re-establishes the pH balance of your scalp. This refreshing rinse also helps close the cuticles along the hair shaft, leaving hair shiny, smooth, and manageable.

To make this clarifying rinse you will need:

2 tablespoons lime juice
1 cup water
5 drops of lavender essential oil (optional)

Stir all the ingredients together and use.

To use: Pour the rinse over your hair. Gently massage it into your scalp and work it through your hair, and let it to sit for 5 minutes. Then wash off with plain water.

Tip: If you have dry or frizzy hair, then substitute lime juice with orange juice, or you can also add 1 tablespoon of honey to the above rinse.

When should I use this? Instead of shampoo? Before Shampoo?

    Minaz says

After shampoo and then rinse it out.

Actually I used lime juice (more diluted, 2liters for a lime), and it basically turned my dry and frizzy hair to a smoother one. I used more diluted lime juice because I don’t want for it to enter my eyes accidentally and burn it.

Ravi, use a mixture of shikakai powder, amla powder, and lemon peel powder or juice (ratio of 3:2:1 and make a paste with water) to shampoo your hair. This will help with dandruff too.
