Orange Juice Rinse: Get Shiny Hair This Winter

orange hair rinse

Orange juice rinse conditions the hair and balances the scalp. This rinse is especially useful during winter months, when the humidity is low and your hair is greatly lacking in the moisture content. Orange juice rinse will hydrate your scalp and hair and add lots of shine and luster to your hair. Plus there are many other benefits of using this citrusy rinse:

  • It conditions the hair and makes it soft and shiny
  • It rids your hair of any build-up
  • It remove dead skin and dandruff flakes, keeping your scalp clean and tidy
  • It helps to maintain a healthy pH balance
  • And lastly, your hair will smell amazing

What you need:

1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Firstly, strain the orange and lemon juice so you don’t have the fruit bits hanging on to your hair. Then, add honey and warm water, and mix well.

To use:

Shampoo your hair as usual, then gradually pour the mixture on your head. Gently massage it into your scalp and work it through your hair, and let it to sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Then wash off with plain water. You may not need to condition your hair (see how your hair feels). Use this rinse every fortnight or once a month to rid your hair of any build up.
