As we know from looking at indoor plants, they seek sunlight. They will slowly creep in the direction of the sun. The plants do that because they need the sun’s rays to make food for themselves, and for us when we eat plants.

Now we humans don’t need the sun to produce food, but we do need the sun’s rays to produce a vital vitamin called vitamin D. When sun rays fall on our skin, it creates vitamin D.

Vitamin D is needed for healthy bone formation, immune system regulation, muscle development etc.

It’s vital for our body. But it’s also vital for our hair.

There are a number of studies done, especially on women that found lack of vitamin D can cause hair loss.
