Hello Beautiful,👋
Last week we saw the hair nourishing and strengthening herb amla.
If you are a dark hair person, you will find this herb is God sent as along with nourishing, amla also helps darken your greys.
However, some fair hair persons were worried about using amla as they didn’t want to change their hair colour.
If you have light hair and use amla, share your experience of what benefits and colour changes you have noticed.
This time we will see another hair volumising and thicking herb that all hair colours can use. And its name also starts with the alphabet ‘A’: Aloe vera.
Aloe vera is native to Arabia, but now it’s distributed in many parts of the world. Of course, being a desert plant, it does like warm to hot weather conditions. But if you live in cold places, you can grow aloe indoors.
I had a few growing in my house in London. Until one day, I decided to change the soil of the potted plants, and all of them died. Something went wrong in the mix. Never mind, I will get a new aloe plant in spring!!
So why is aloe so good for hair??
As I said, it’s a desert plant. So its leaves are quite succulent. And when you cut open the leaf, inside resides a clear, slimy, gooey gel.
And this gel is packed with nutrients. Not just one or two nutrients. But over 75 nutrients reside in aloe, such as: vitamin A, C and E, amino acids, minerals, hair beneficial enzymes and more stuff.
It’s the play of multiple nutrients working as a team to nourish and heal the hair follicles and promote hair growth.
How to use aloe vera for hair growth?
Well I am feeling generous today so I will share not 1 not 2 but 3 examples of incorporating aloe in your hair care regime:
Aloe Vera Hair Mask (Oil Free) for Thicker Hair Growth
Aloe Vera and Olive Oil Hair Mask for Hair Growth and Thickness
How to Make Aloe Vera Juice/Gel at Home
